Derrick is an attorney supporting the firm’s litigation and arbitration practice. In addition to his commercial expertise, Derrick also specializes in construction disputes. He was formerly a lawyer at White & Case LLP in New York City, where he represented sophisticated corporate clients in complex commercial litigation proceedings, focusing his practice on antitrust/competition matters. He also previously worked for Analysis Group, Inc., an economic, financial, and business consulting firm, where he supported expert witnesses in large-scale litigation matters and arbitrations, and at Wasserman Grubin & Rogers LLP, a boutique law firm focusing on real estate and construction matters.
Derrick’s diverse background has allowed him to obtain a versatility unlike any other lawyer. He has worked in both BigLaw and small boutique firms, and used his background in mathematics and economics working as an associate at an economic consulting firm. He represents both individuals and companies federal and state court civil disputes. He also regularly represents businesses in contract negotiations, including licensing, leasing, and general business agreements.
